What is Shangri La?

Shangri La - a mystical, harmonious valley described in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon - has become synonymous with any earthly paradise, particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia.  Naturally, we use the concept to describe the dénouement of Ideatrek.

Uh, okay. What?

Shangri La is the name of our investment club.

Oh, got it.  What's an investment club?

An investment club comprises a group of people who pool their money to make investments. Usually, investment clubs are organized as partnerships and after the members study different investments, the group decides to buy or sell any number of securities or other investments. Club meetings are educational and each member MUST actively participate in investment decisions. (cf)

Uhg...fine.  How much does it cost to join?

We have an initial contribution of $100, and do NOT require monthly installments to maintain membership.  We will also fully disclose club rules upon request before you join, but after we qualify you.

Even though investment clubs are not regulated like normal funds, we seek to be in compliance with normative evaluation methods for any prospective member per exemptions for non-accredited investors (cf)
